It's never over lads. Look at the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal). For nearly 700 years, massive portions of it were under Islamic rule. If you were a Christian living there in the 9th or 10th century, it would have been very easy to look around and say, "It's over. We lost."
But the men of that era didn't surrender to despair. Instead, they initiated the Reconquista—a grueling, multi-generational struggle from 722 to 1492 where they slowly, relentlessly reclaimed their homeland and their faith.
History is long. Empires rise and fall, and maps are constantly redrawn. True resilience means understanding that the fight for your culture, your values, and your faith is a marathon, not a sprint.
Stop complaining about the times you live in, hold fast to your faith, and remember the history of your ancestors. It is quite literally never over.
Nunca acaba, pessoal. Vejam a Península Ibérica (Espanha e Portugal). Por quase 700 anos, vastas porções dela estiveram sob domínio islâmico. Se você fosse um cristão vivendo lá no século IX ou X, seria muito fácil olhar em volta e dizer: "Acabou. Perdemos."
Mas os homens daquela época não se entregaram ao desespero. Em vez disso, iniciaram a Reconquista — uma luta árdua e multigeneracional, de 722 a 1492, na qual, lenta e incansavelmente, reconquistaram sua pátria e sua fé.
A história é longa. Impérios surgem e caem, e os mapas são constantemente redesenhados. A verdadeira resiliência significa entender que a luta pela sua cultura, seus valores e sua fé é uma maratona, não uma corrida de curta distância.
Parem de reclamar dos tempos em que vivem, apeguem-se à sua fé e lembrem-se da história de seus ancestrais. Literalmente, nunca acaba.
