His sentence?
𝟭𝟮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻.
Now compare that to what happened next.
British locals — furious after learning a migrant housed in their town had assaulted a child — protested outside the asylum hotel.
They didn’t assault a child.
They didn’t target civilians.
They protested.
Their sentences?
𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.
𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀.
𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀.
Longer prison terms than the man who abused a child.
That is not justice.
That is 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗷𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲’𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗲.
The Ethiopian national, Hadush Kebatu, arrived in the UK by small boat and was placed in the Bell Hotel in Epping.
Within days, he assaulted a 14-year-old girl and an adult woman.
He was convicted.
He received 𝟭𝟮 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 and was supposedly awaiting deportation.
Meanwhile, three English men involved in the protest were hammered by the court.
One kicked toward an officer.
Another threw an object.
Another shoved a police shield.
None harmed a child.
All received 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 than the migrant whose crime triggered the unrest.
The judge, Jamie Sawyer, made it explicit. ---

Kebatu was later 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 from prison.
Police launched a manhunt.
He was found two days later.
Then quietly deported — with £𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 paid to smooth the process.
You read that right.
The British state paid the child abuser on the way out.
Meanwhile, British citizens sit in prison cells for being angry about it.
